Valentine's Gift Ideas
February is HERE, and we’re counting down the days until we can officially celebrate love on Valentine’s Day. While many traditionalists stick to flowers, chocolate or other candy, which is always a safe bet, we thought we’d send some ideas your way that might appeal to non-traditionalists in your life. So, feel free to send this along to that special someone in case they need a little hint.
Arm Candy
Probably the surest bet for your Valentine is Earth Grace Jewelry! We love this Mississippi-made jewelry that comes in so many different varieties – from earrings to rings, necklaces and more. No woman can have too much Earth Grace in her collection. And, it’s the ultimate win for the lady who has everything.
For the Kitchen
Whether you’re buying for a valentine or a gal-entine, men and women love a good kitchen gadget. We just got a new shipment of the cutest Paula Deen kitchen towels and accessories with a message that resonates with anyone in the Deep South – sweet tea! There’s never a bad time to gift someone something fun for the kitchen, and we absolutely love this collection for year-round kitchen fun.
Next up in our line of kitchen things, we can’t escape our coffee mug obsession. And Coton Colors does it again with a beautiful collection of the absolute best Valentine’s Day mugs. We love the idea of filling these with candy, fresh local coffee beans, or even pairing it with another Coton Colors piece.
One of the things we love most about Coton Colors is the ability to keep adding things for each special occasion. Next up will be Easter, so it’s a great time to gift a base and a heart attachment. While you’re in the store, you can get ideas for a cute Easter attachment to go on that same base in a few short months. Coton Colors is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
For the Table
Ahh…the table. Our favorite place to gather, laugh and love on the people closest to us. Why not get your love a Lazy Susan that gives their whole breakfast nook or dining area a new look. You can’t go wrong with this unique piece! We even recommend adding your Valentine’s Day flowers as a bonus, and she can continue to top her new gift with flowers the rest of the year. As you may have seen in our blog post a few weeks ago, cobalt blue is a major trending color for 2019. We love adding a pop of that blue on the center of your table with a vase or these cute cream and sugar dishes.
We also recommend these adorable baskets from The Blessing Basket Project. They are a great and meaningful Valentine’s Day surprise. These high-quality and unique baskets are hand crafted by artisans in third-world countries, providing opportunities for them to earn sufficient wages to support their families and help end poverty. The stories behind these baskets make it a powerful gift that blesses more than just the recipient. This is great as a standalone gift, or it’s nice filled with a candle, some candy, or even a gift card or two.
For the Home
If you’re going all out for your Valentine, we can’t wrap up our top gift ideas without throwing the gift EVERYONE loves in the mix – furniture! Whether it’s a recliner for him, a new bedroom or living room suite for her, or that couch you’ve needed for a long time, we’re here with financing options to make your big surprise a reality.
The Traditionalist
And…while we’ve given you a lot of non-traditional options, we have to show some love to those traditionalist. We’re stocked up and ready for you! We have pre-made baskets starting at $50 (and ranging to $100) that include items from all of our favorites – Earth Grace, Coton Colors and even some special chocolate. As a bonus, we’ve thrown some Rubies Home Furnishing’s gift cards in some of the baskets, so she can shop with Rubies and get something she loves.
With the variety of options listed here, your Valentine’s Day is sure to be a success. Come on into Rubies and let us help you decide which option suits your valentine the best
